The draft amendment would allow an animal shelter as an accessory use to a veterinary clinic, with a maximum 500 square feet of indoor space and no more than 30 animals; staff will prepare wording for referral to relevant agencies and First Nations.[1]
The committee also directed staff to give notice that it would not hold a public hearing on the proposed bylaw amendment, and to send the amendment for referrals with the changes discussed at the meeting.[1]
For the Resource Conservation Zone, the committee discussed limiting lot coverage and the size of utility sheds. The minutes record a proposed maximum shed size of 200 square feet, while staff was to check whether the density provision could be removed or needed to remain.[1]
On the housing project, the committee asked staff to return with a project charter, work plan and updated housing action plan for Phase 2.[1]
