The Mayne Island Local Trust Committee adopted Bylaw No. 196 on August 31, 2026.[1]
The bylaw amends the Mayne Island Official Community Plan, including policies on housing density, flexible housing and affordable, seniors and special-needs housing.[1]
The signing page records first reading on September 29, 2025, a public hearing and second and third readings on January 26, 2026, approval by the Islands Trust Executive Committee on February 25, 2026, and ministerial approval on July 9, 2026.[1]
