The committee gave third reading to Bylaw 180 and sent it to the Islands Trust Executive Committee for approval.

The Mayne Firestarter · Governance · 2020-10-26 · updated 2026-10-19 · Mayne Island

The amendment to Mayne Island’s land-use bylaw will go to the Islands Trust Executive Committee for approval after the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee gave it third reading on October 26, 2020.[1]

The committee also directed staff to arrange a special meeting on housing flexibility, inviting the Advisory Planning Committee, Housing Options Committee members and Mayne Island Affordable Housing Society.[1]

Planner Narissa Chadwick said she would organize an afternoon meeting for mid-January.[1]

The committee approved an amended development variance permit application, MA-DVP-2020.7, after removing two variances and retaining variances addressing side-yard setbacks.[1]
